I'm pleased to let you know, we have gathered more than 2500 signatures for this petition. 

Andrew Wilkie MP introduced a new bill "Ending Indefinite and Arbitrary Immigration Detention Bill 2021" to Parliament earlier this year. The Joint Standing Committee on Migration is currently accepting submissions to this inquiry. I encourage anyone who has been through immigration detention to share their stories. 

With this new bill being introduced, we have a real chance at making a difference by ending indefinite and arbitrary immigration detention once and for all. Remember we are the only country that implements a mandatory detention policy for unlawful non-citizens in the world. If we disagree with the existing immigration detention policy, now would be the time to speak up!
