Part 4B - Informants

When we think of informants, aka spies, we think of movies with tales of espionage, high-tech gadgets, & debonair agents. Very seldom do we think of informants as someone we know from church, work, home, & the community. It is this inattentional blindness to the possibility that often allows such betrayal to take place.
How are informants chosen? How do govt officials & law enforcement convince average everyday people to become informants. Or worse how are they convinced to participate in acts that they feel or know are wrong?
Informants are chosen based on the operation. They need not be experienced. Literally anyone could be an informant. The main requirement is to have access to the targer and be able to gather information without drawing suspicion. As stated before, everyday men & women can be informants. They are seduced, coerced, or brainwashed into participating. Some citizens willingly become informants out of a sense of patriotism. Others are coerced & blackmailed. Particularly those who have been caught in criminal acts & are being forced to turn informant in order to reduce their sentence or have charges dropped. All are financially compensated. Informants are used not only to assist with actual criminal investigations but also for nefarious purposes such as disrupting & sabotaging activist movements like protests & other civil/human rights organization activities. Citizen informants are often misled about the true scope & intentions of the operation they are recruited for.

"A classic study by Yale psychologist Stanley Milgram tested how far people would go to obey an authority figure.
Participants were told to deliver an electric shock to a person who answered questions incorrectly. Unbeknown to the participants, the shock machine was fake, but Milgram found that more than half of the participants were willing to administer shocks even when the actor receiving the "punishment" cried out in pain.
In a shocking story that aired on "20/20" in 2005, a manager at a Kentucky McDonald's received a phone call from a man claiming to be a police officer. He told the manager that one of her subordinate workers had stolen a purse, and he ordered the manager to strip-search the female employee, among other degrading acts.
The manager complied fully without ever questioning the alleged police officer's credibility. It turned out that the whole thing was a hoax. The man was not a police officer."

Regardless of what we may think, people are susceptible to the commands of authority figures. The average person will submit to the commands of an authority figure willingly & often times without question. Often times that authority is abused. Citizen policing, neighborhood watch, community policing are the trojan horses law enforcement use for unlawful surveillance of other citizens.On the surface they appear to be about keeping neighborhoods safe. And to some degree they are (depending on the neighborhood). These groups give participants a sense of safety & belonging. But these orgs can also be used to recruit informants.
Citizens are used by govt agencies & law enforcement for nefarious purposes without their knowledge.
Informants provide camouflage for agents to conceal their acts by blending in & creating diversions. In the case of unlawful research projects, agents use informants to manipulate the subject & the subject's environment & perceptions in order to avoid detection & achieve the objective of electromagnetic radiation weapons testing.
Today, innocent men & women are being experimented on in plain sight with electromagnetic weapons. Radiated with lethal levels & intensities around the clock both day & night at home & in public by agencies & organizations that have the means & resources to do so.
