28 abr 2017 — UPDATE: Guardians Anne Heishman and Kenneth Labowitz are reinstating my visiting restrictions. They are discharging Anastasia this afternoon once again to an undisclosed nursing facility, Another $1500 reward has been offered for verifiable information of her whereabouts with additional money for current pictures of her condition especially her right ankle. ---------------- I wanted to provide a quick interim update. I will provide a more complete update later but I am running late this morning and was too tired to post last night. Yesterday I was threatened with being barred from visiting my sister at the hospital. Why you ask? For the real reason they barred me from seeing my sister before, to prevent me from documenting their alleged negligent care of my sister. When I arrived yesterday, after asking me my name, I was told by my sisters nurse Juliet that there had to be a sitter present whenever I was in the room visiting. I predicted this would happen just a few days ago, and that nurses and hospital staff would begin coming into the room in pairs when speaking with me so they would have "witnesses" to everything they "supposedly" said to me. I was informed by the patient advocate and Mitze the Nurse Educator that the guardian Mr. Labowitz had required the sitter and instituted new restrictions regarding my visits with my sister. Immediately proceeding these new restrictions I had emailed Mr. Labowitz to inform and inquire about Anastasia not receiving her enteral nutrition, a problem with her eyes (her vision now appears to be impaired), that someone had failed to inform the hospital about her allergy to certain types of tape, among other things and included pictures of her eye and blistering on her wrist. After informing me he accidentally deleted my emails and requesting I resend them, Mr. Labowitz stated the hospital social worker confirmed that Anastasia had received nutrition and asked me how I knew Anastasia was not receiving her nutrition. I responded there was not a feeding pump or nutrition in her room and that the social worker was misinformed. There was more to this exchange mostly questions from Labowitz attempting to find out what type of evidence I actually have in my possession; to that I say... all in due time. More importantly yesterday Anastasia cried out and moaned for over 8 hours straight; not even the PRN morphine, every two hours helped. While she was being repositioned I noticed Anastasia's hips, legs, and right ankle were extremely swollen. Her hips and upper legs are so swollen the skin is shiny and there is appearance of stretch marks. Having had extreme swelling in my calves I can tell you from experience even just lightly running your fingers down the skin causes pain. Anastasia cried in pain when her lower extremities were touched and and screamed when you touched her ankle or foot. Her foot just flops up and down, indicating her ankle is either completely dislocated or it is broken. Now I have been asked by Anastasia's guardians to inform them when I see something I believe to be an issue or I have a concern. I have complied with their request. I took pictures of her ankle to send to Mr. Labowitz in an email expressing my concern, as I had done in the past so they could see precisely what I was talking about. The sitter went flying out the room calling down the hall for a supervisor. The new rule is, "I" am not allowed to take pictures of my own sister for any reason. I was informed this direction was given to the hospital directly by Mr. Labowitz. When I explained that I had been requested to provide the guardians with my concerns, Mitze came back with the patient advocate AND security, and provided me with a copy of the hospital policy on taking photographs, reference # P-17. Stating if I took another photograph they would make me leave the hospital grounds and I would not be allowed to ever return. When I asked for copies of the policies referenced in the P-17 so I fully understood their policy to ensure I followed it, I was told they could not give them me because I was not Anastasia's guardian. Let's put aside the fact that I am also a Kaiser patient and this is one of only two Kaiser contracted hospitals in Northern Virginia and this directive potentially could be life threatening for me; also putting aside the conflict between the guardians request I contact them with my concerns and their directive forbidding me to take pictures, why would the guardians not want me taking pictures of my sister Anastasia? I'll let our supporters figure that one out. As I said I am running late so will provide a more in-depth update later, but I will leave you with two things. First, pictures are not needed to express what is happening to my sister. The English language can be quite colorful and expressive in describing any given situation. I am an educated woman, as is my sister, and between the two of us (she was English major) we will describe in detail what I am not allowed to provide in photographs (I do have 'pre-directive" pictures that can be uploaded). I am sure it is their belief that by not having pictorial evidence of what my sister is going through will allow them to argue my claims are inaccurate or flat out untrue, but as Pilate questioned Jesus , Quid est veritas? Second, my sisters hips and legs are so grossly and severely swollen, her skin so severely stretched, their appearance is like that of an over filled over inflated balloon or an over boiled over grilled sausage just before they burst. The appearance and texture of her skin having both a waxiness and thinness to it amidst and between newly formed stretch marks that appear as rivers flowing through a landscape.
