The Let Women Decathlon petition is officially over 8,300 signatures! This past week the petition has really been gaining speed. So many of you have let me know of all the coworkers, family members, friends, and others that you have been sharing it with and I attribute this speed to you!

The media in Atlanta and the Rio Grande Valley area are starting to take notice and make awesome news coverage stories on the issue. What an awesome way to get the word out!

The more signatures we get the more noise we create. Many (and probably many of you reading his now are in included) did not even know that this type of discrimination still happens at such a high level of sport. The more we can make others aware of the issue the more we can show the IOC that the world is in true support of this movement.

Many other female decathletes and future female decathlete hopefuls have been reaching out anxious to share their story. The LetWomenDecathlon.org page will soon have other women featured that you can also follow and support!

Thank you all for what you do. The future Female Olympic Decathletes will have all 8,300 of you to thank when they stand on the start line on day one until they cross the finish line on day two.

God willing, we will have a female “World’s Greatest Athlete” soon!
