There’s only one charity in the world that supports families bereaved by gambling and campaigns for change, Gambling with Lives. Today, we’re asking you to help us continue, by donating to our appeal. 

Last week was Mental Health Awareness week and the Premier League talked about a “mentally healthy culture across the game”,  encouraging young fans to talk about their mental health, but didn’t mention the adverts with links to mental health-harming gambling products. 

The Premier League will phase out front-of-shirt gambling sponsors by the 2026/27 season, but this won’t remove the vast majority of ads that appear around stadiums.

In the meantime, many people are being harmed by gambling with many still taking their lives.

Gambling with Lives have supported dozens of families with access to counselling, arranging special events for families to get together and legal support to help families through inquests.

Right now, they have launched a fundraising appeal where every donation will be doubled until May 28. For this reason, there won’t be a better time to donate to them.
