A parliamentary debate took place this last week to discuss whether Changing Places toilets should be made compulsory as part of planning permission law. I've included a link to the debate which can be found at 16.25. I also got a mention as my MP made the effort to go, (thank you Nic, greatly appreciated). The greater emphasis was on families struggling to be able to have days out because of inadequate disabled toileting facilities, this is definitely an issue but even more pressing is the difficulties faced when going to the shops, visiting hospital outpatient departments and just going about daily routines. We need Changing Places toilets in our public buildings, otherwise inequality persists.
