Trophy is a 9-year old cat who was surrendered to the Humane Society of Huron Valley shelter many months ago due to severe complications from being declawed. She had sharp, bony fragments in her paws. Trophy's chronic pain caused litterbox problems and made her act aggressively; common reasons why declawed cats end up in shelters.
Their medical team did a "repair" surgery on Trophy’s paws, and a devoted foster gave her the TLC she needed to recover and find a new home.
Trophy’s personality transformed from a sad and grumpy lady to the affectionate sweetheart she truly is! And, she found the adopter who will give her the love she needs to live out her retirement happily and adored.
We're delighted for Trophy but wish she never had to go through the suffering caused by her declaw. The procedure is still legal in Michigan, but you can help change that!
