The Issue
Most people hate the twice-yearly switch between Standard Time and Daylight Savings Time. The problem is that too many people think they want DST to be permanent, but medical experts, especially those who are experts in sleep issues, are convinced that Daylight Savings Time is not good for our health. Our bodies evolved to follow the sun, i.e. Standard Time. People may want more light in the afternoon, but what our bodies actually NEED is light in the morning! Staying on Standard Time means we wake up to light. Waking up in darkness impacts both mood and energy levels throughout the day. Please do what is right for our health and END Daylight Savings Time!
