Thank you for your support to ban conversion therapy in Canada! As Pride Month unfolds, we are inspired to see many positive messages and events in support of LGBTQ2 rights in Canada and around the world. Our government has announced it’s a new day for LGBTQ2 Canadians unjustly convicted of engaging in consensual same-sex sexual activity as the expungement Act becomes law: ow.ly/FTMi30kBsUW. The Government of Canada states it continues to work hard to build and preserve the Canada we aspire to be: “compassionate, open-minded, respectful, inclusive, and proud of the vast diversity that makes our country strong.” In this context, we believe conversion therapy, which tries to "cure" people of their sexual orientation, should be banned in Canada. We are 34,000 strong saying Canada’s LGBTQ2 kids don’t need bogus therapies: they need love, support and acceptance, just like everyone else.
