Exciting News - On September 17th, Our Petition Is Heading To Parliament
I wanted to share some genuinely exciting news. Change.org has stepped in to help our petition be noticed, on the 17th of September, it will be presented to Andrew Wilkie MP , then Andrew will table it in parliament that day.
Thank You to Andrew Wilkie and his amazing team, I'm incredibly grateful it's finally going to be heard.
I won't pretend this guarantees a huge outcome, but I believe it's worth trying — you never know what can come from putting something in front of the people who make these decisions.
Both Change.org and Andrew’s team will have media there on the day, so this is a real chance to get our cause some visibility.
CAN YOU JOIN US IN CANBERRA?
I'm trying to organise a minibus (or larger vehicle if numbers call for it) from Sydney Central Station to Parliament House in Canberra for Thursday, 17th, September.
I am hoping to be able to cover the entire expense of the bus, therefore it’s a free trip, we do need your support for the animals. I just need to know how many are going before I book the bus.
If you're able to make the trip and would like a seat, let me know as soon as you can so I can book the right size bus.
Some supporters are flying to Canberra, others driving themselves and some coming by train.
If you want to be on the bus from Sydney, Please let me know ASAP.
The trip from Sydney is roughly 3 to 3.5 hours each way, so the bus would have to depart Central 6:30am - 6:50am at the latest.
The more of us there in person, the stronger the message. Thank you for being part of this — I'll follow up with final departure times and meeting point once I know numbers.
It would be great during the petition delivery and media presentation if we had supporters standing behind with Stand Against Live Animal Export banners and preferably wearing Stand Against Live Animal Export T Shirts.
