After the hype and heightened sense of urgency over The Bahijah, the dust has settled and very little has changed, nothing unusual. While most of the sheep and cattle were eventually removed off the floating coffin, many died from heat exhaustion and other unknown conditions whilst still on the ship.
But we will never know the absolute truth. The agriculture department state that in total 81 animals died, however we know that the agriculture department and Murray Watt cannot be trusted. I phoned so many times and even the agriculture department didn’t know what was going on, that right there says a lot.
This supposed transparent industry had so many chances to offload these animals, but instead they decided to anchor off the Fremantle coast in 40+ degree heat for days on end and wait!
Whatever they were waiting for we will never know. During this time it is believed many lambs were born on the Bahijah, even though pregnant ewes are not supposed to be loaded, but it seems that is overlooked.

So WHY on earth would they anchor off the coast of Fremantle, it makes me wonder were injured or sick baby lambs dumped overboard, maybe sick animals were dumped into the ocean so when they were docked at the port they didn’t have to hide the truth.
OR is it the other possibility of drugs being offloaded, I guess we will never know.

I do know the stench in and around Fremantle was enough to make people want to vomit when they finally offloaded the animals.
So Live Animal Export continues and the politicians remain unwavering in their non compassionate ways. The only good thing to come from The Bahijah tragedy is the news has hit world headlines, it has created a lot of interest and awareness.
I’ve spoken with supporters of Stand Against Live Animal Exports from Texas, California and the UK, they’ve all said it has been on the news and in the papers. Slowly we are making waves, I cannot wait until we see action by this lousy Australian government. Anthony Albanese must honour his promise before the next election.

The next Stand Against Live Animal Exports Protest/Awareness Day is the 16th of June at 11:30am. Town Hall

As for the Canberra bus trip, PLEASE Email or Text me, I will give you information so you can decide if you’re interested. I cannot do this if I don’t get more people interested. Remember I am subsidising the coach, the more we get the less the cost to you. After the protest the coach will take people to Costco and the Majura outlets at Canberra airport.
