Saturday the 18th of March I held another Stand Against Live Animal Exports Awareness Day in Sydney and Anna-Lisa held one in Murray St Mall, Perth.

Perth only had 4 people turn up, that’s atrocious considering the large number of animal activists in WA, SO where were ALL the Perth Animal Activists?
A massive THANK YOU to Bako, Anna-Lisa, Maddy (pictured) and Stu for putting in the effort and being a voice for the animals. From all accounts Murray St Mall was busy and many signatures were received…

Fremantle is about to load 4 medium to large ships with sheep and Cattle, so last Saturday was the ideal day to educate the public about this horrific industry. I am still gobsmacked by the number of people who’ve never heard of Live Animal Export, on Saturday I had at least 10 separate people say “I thought Live Export had already ended” They thought Julia Gillard did not reinstate it.
This information tells me we need to keep taking the information to the public, it’s stops so many people being ignorant.

Sydney - we had 21 people, not the best turn out but still impressive. It was really hot so to get 21 was amazing. Thanks again to all the Sydney crew and the newbies at Sydney. A few of our regulars sent their apologies, they were doing other animal welfare work.
We got a lot of signatures also. Today I sent off a padded envelope with 213 individually signed petition papers, from February and March Sydney Awareness Days.
Also Malcom and Giselle (Drum Rebellion) came and drummed for us, it was sensational and bought more attention to the Stand Against Live Animal Exports Awareness Day.
Thank you Malcom & Giselle.

Melbourne, I’m still unsure if I’m coming down to do an Awareness Day, I don’t think I can justify driving 9-10 hours to Melbourne and spending around $1500 for 2 people coming along to help me. If you think you’re possibly going to be there on the 29th of April at Federation Square let me know asap. Remember you do this for the animals, not for me. If I can get at least 10 people turn up, I will be there without a doubt, but we need people to hold banners and 10 is the absolute minimum.

## -The Australian Agriculture Department are asking for submissions about the phasing out of Live Sheep Exports from Australia, I will add the link below, I cannot express how important it is for people to go and have their say.

It doesn’t need to be an essay, just a few simple lines - if you’re unsure what to write please email me and I’ll guide you, I have a few people happy to help with your submissions. PLEASE do it, it end the 31st of May..
