ENGLAND and WALES- Live animal exports for slaughter are to be banned, journey times in England and Wales shortened and stricter rules on temperature and headroom in lorries introduced, a joint statement from Defra and the Welsh government has confirmed. The announcement follows a 12-week consultation which closed in January, attracting more than 11,000 responses – of which over 7,400 came from the RSPCA. 18/08/21
GREAT NEWS - IF THEY CAN, WE CAN TOO...
In relation to the Banners, the response since the last update is tremendous, I've ordered 15 banners to be sent out to various people and 5 Corflute/Foam signs to other people so they can display them. THANK YOU
The company I purchase the banners from is now having a sale until the 23/8 I can order banners at a discounted price but I can only afford another 5-10 at the most.
SO if you're willing to display a Banner or a Corflute Lawn Sign please email me at sunlily36@gmail.com.
Once lockdown is done, I will start getting out and about putting stickers in public toilets and public rest stop areas etc. I understand many people are more concerned and focused on covid, yes it's a horrible time but it would still be great if we could continue to email the Muppets - (oops sorry I meant MPs)...
As for the Sydney, September Awareness Day it all pivots on the lockdown. I certainly don't want to risk anyone's health but if lockdown is over and I'm allowed, I will definitely be at Town Hall on September 18th.
