I’d thought I’d give people an insight into WHY.....
Why I keep raving on about the Orange Riboons. You see Live Animal Export is not shown on 99% of the TV stations, it rarely makes the papers, radio or any other media outlet, so the majority of the Australian population and the world’s population, have no bloody idea that Live Animals are shipped across treacherous seas to a horrific end.

It was around 5 years ago that my husband was flipping through the channels, I caught a split second of an animal being hit with a sledgehammer and I asked him to go back to that channel. It was a segment on ABC by Animals Australia and the live animals sent to Vietnam for slaughter. I could not get the image out of my head, I would cry myself to sleep every night after that and I knew that I had to do whatever I could to help these animals.....Many people call me a hypocrite because I’m NOT vegan and have never said I was. 
But what I do know is that regardless of what you think of me, I have a choice and I choose to try and stop the excess brutality of these animals. I know if I were the animal I’d much prefer to not go on a ship and be executed here in the country I was born and raised

I also look and see that the world is far from perfect, I truly wish it were but if we can end Live Exports it’s a major step in the direction that many vegans wish for.

Anyway the ORANGE RIBBON idea came to me when I saw a community near where I live held a yellow ribbon week for youth suicide, I started to see yellow ribbons everywhere and it made me curious....I thought about how a pink ribbon really bought breast cancer into the spotlight and that’s how the Stand Against Live Animal Exports - Orange Ribbon Campaign started. So I urge EVERYBODY, it doesn’t matter wherebyou live or if you live in a caravan, tent, unit, house mansion or whatever.....an orange ribbon on your tent at Christmas if you’re camping, an orange ribbon on your snow mobile, your motor home....WE NEED ORANGE RIBBONS OR BOWS EVERYWHERE!!

I promised I would never stop trying to raise awareness about this unnecessary, brutal trade, I worked 3 jobs at one time to be able to buy banners, T shirts, flyers, printed Orange Ribbon, Car Aerial Flags etc to and other stuff so we (all of us) could spread the word.

It is like a beach full of sand if one person was to remove one grain of sand, it would not make a difference but if a million people were to remove one grain of sand - over time it would make a difference....x

WE CAN BE THE DIFFERNCE, SO PLEASE GET IN ON THE ORANGE RIBBON AWARENESS CAMPAIGN and LET’S STOP LIVE ANIMALS FROM BEING SHIPPED TO OTHER COUNTIRES FOR BRUTAL SLAUGHTER....

11th Dec, 4-6 - Sydney Town Hall - I will be there handing out flyers and stickers if anyone wants to lend a hand.

12th Dec, 10:30 -11:45 - Sydney Town Hall - I’m holding another awareness day, there are plenty of banners for people to hold, flyers, stickers etc to hand out. I have a PA system if anyone would like to speak on behalf of the animals....2 x megaphones if you’re comfortable using a megaphone..if enough people turn up we are marching to the Archibald Fountain in Hyde Park to disperse from there...xx
