Rose Garden advises they will proceed with bollards

I am disappointed to report that Early Learning Services will not consider installing pram and bike parking to prevent future recurrence of parking incident. The reason given is that planning provisions do not allow. Having separately raised the issue with Council and reviewed minimuim parking standards for tje centre, it is my understanding that a permit needs to be applied for to build a structure in the car park, but that it is not prohibited.
The centre has advised they will proceed with bollards on the advice of an external adviser, to whom they provided a full proposal that I prepared. I have requested verification that the bollards would not restrict acceasibility for people walking or wheeling into the facility and am awaiting a response.
This is a disappointing outcome.
At the core of thus petition is a desire to increase freedom for children and educators ar Rose Garden. It is extremely disappointing that a good solution has been overlooked for one which is only a superficial measure for safety (bollards will not prevent freak accidents from occurring) but will reduce safe, barrier free access for people travelling to rosegarden by foot and thus further prevent active travel and entrench traffic jams in the area.
