We want to take this opportunity to clarify some misunderstandings regarding the Restructure Deaf Education resolution, #Res-029021/22. It aims to provide EQUITABLE education for ALL Deaf children across LAUSD. It does NOT eliminate the listening and spoken language programs and services offered by LAUSD or take away parent choice; this resolution supports offering ALL language opportunities and services to Deaf students across LAUSD.

Queremos aprovechar esta oportunidad para aclarar algunos malentendidos con respecto a la resolución Reestructurar la Educación para Sordos, #Res-029021/22. Su objetivo es proporcionar una educación EQUITATIVA para TODOS los niños sordos en todo el LAUSD. NO elimina los programas y servicios de audición y lenguaje hablado que ofrece LAUSD ni elimina la elección de los padres; esta resolución apoya ofrecer TODAS las oportunidades y servicios lingüísticos a los estudiantes sordos en todo el LAUSD.
