Dear all, 

It has been five months since the petition started. A lot has changed in five months. Just over one month ago, Donald J. Trump won the presidency, a sad state of affairs for the black community and civil rights. And, his Project 2025-abiding MAGA extremists won the House of Representatives and the Senate launching a GOP mandate. Unconstitutional extremists are going to be running the government. Now, is the time to gather all faithful people and true patriots to the American ideal of equality and justice for all as said in our pledge of allegiance to sign this petition and to protest the Trump administration and protest for civil rights. This petition is the first start. IT will be the start of a national agenda to promote civil rights. It is time that we do so and we must do so NOW.
