Last night I was called to remove a swarm. I had just returned home after a full day of beekeeping when I got the call. I quickly ate, got my equipment ready, and drove over 1/2 hour to get to the swarm location. After trying to remove some of the bees, and upon realizing they moved into the structure, and after discussing the situation with those at the property,  I was told they sprayed "1& 1/2 cans of bee and wasp spray" well before I was called. So now I, and my equipment was exposed to the poison. And another swarm of honey bees is compromised. Please, this has to stop!! Please share the petition with everyone you know. Some will sign, and fewer will share, but it will only take ONE smart and compassionate lawmaker to make it illegal to kill swarms that could otherwise be saved and relocated. .
