Unicode Consortium, a non-profit that regulates the coding standards for written computer text that includes emojis, announced on Friday, November 14 that it has accepted 37 new emoji characters as candidates for Unicode 8.0, scheduled for mid-2015. These are candidates—not yet finalized—so some emojis may not appear in the release.

The tamal emoji is a potential candidate. But we need a lot of help convincing this to happen.

why do pizza and hamburger lovers get their emoji but not tamale lovers?? Tamales are life tamales are love and together we have to sign the petition for the tamal emoji. It would make millions happy and restore world peace.
