I should've updated this earlier and for that I apologize. I'm so happy to announce that the letters have been taken down from the former Harper Hall! I don't yet know what the building's new name will be, and Elon has a lot of work to do, but this is a great step towards a more inclusive environment for students. To the 5,000+ people who signed, thank you. Your work is not in vain. I look forward to seeing what the building's new name will be. I'm also eager to see what other steps Elon will take to acknowledge its past and create a healthy learning environment and community for all students. Thank you to every single person who held Elon accountable. We've got a long way to go, but this is an awesome start.
