Below is the relevant copy from the email I received from the Council representative:

“Under Council’s Governance rules the petition will be tabled at the Council Meeting and Council will determine whether or not to receive/accept the petition. Being considered procedural, should the petition be received/accepted by Council it will be referred to the Chief Executive Officer to consider and determine the most appropriate response.

Council does provide for community members to submit public questions that will be read out and may be responded to at the meeting, provided the questions comply with Council’s Governance Rules. Further information on submitting public questions can be found on Council’s website at:

Council and committee meetings - Maribyrnong”

Want to submit a question?

Community members can submit up to 3 questions before the meeting starts.

I (Mel) will be attending the meeting in person and would strongly encourage you to attend and highlight the importance of this issue to you. Council needs to understand that this situation is entirely unacceptable and we will continue to make ourselves heard and seen until the issue is addressed.
