The Issue
It is completely unnecessary to spend tax payers money on a plebiscite!
It is already within the power of parliament to change the laws of same sex marriage here in Australia hence why there is no need for a referendum. In 2013, the high court found that marriage in the constitution includes a marriage between persons of the same sex so why is it necessary to spend over $100 million of tax payers money on a plebiscite when at least 72% of all Australians already support it!
