The next few days are big days for the formal consultation process. What may be the biggest single event for the campaign is the DfT’s official ‘consultation event’ taking place on Monday 25th, in Bedford. This was arranged by DfT after pressure from us and MPs who we had encouraged. So: now it important to show that the session was REALLY needed because of all the people who want to be at it. Bedford, Monday 25th 5-6pm gather outside & protest at The Park Hotel (the one by the river) 6-8pm the official “Consultation Event” is inside the hotel 8.30pm(ish) onwards, debrief/natter The Kings Arms, St Marys St, Bedford. If you can go, please email ben.foley@greenparty.org.uk To maximise attendance, the planned public meeting in Bedford for 21st has been postponed (more details about re-arranged public meeting soon). If Bedford is too far south for you, there are official DfT ‘consultation events’ in Leicester, this Thursday – 21st, 11am to 1pm, African Caribbean Centre, Maidstone Road, LE2 0UA and Sheffield, 27th Sept, 11am to 1pm, Sheffield Town Hall.
