Bernie Needs Your Support

This petition was created when I discovered that another petition created by Hillary supporters was created to ask the Electoral College Electors to denounce Trump and vote for Hillary instead arguing she had the popular vote (which was only .1% higher than Trump). It is exceedingly rare that Electors vote against how their state voted, but it is not unprecedented. If there was any chance that the Electors might consider voting their conscience and denounce Trump, I wanted to give them another option to consider other than Hillary (though I find it unlikely they would flip from Trump to Hillary). I wanted them to also consider voting for Bernie Sanders instead. This petition is only a day old and we've managed to amass nearly 2,500 signatures. Unfortunately, the petition for Hillary has amassed nearly 3.5 million signatures in just a few days. This petition for Bernie needs a lot more support to hopefully counter-argue the petition for Hillary. Please SHARE and let's give Bernie all of the support we can. It is very likely that either petition will yield any results, but in the 1% that the Electors do decide to vote their conscience and go against the voting of their states, Bernie should be given equal consideration. After all, according to an article published by The Hill, in his speech about Trump's victory, Bernie said he would not rule out another Presidential run in 2020. If the Electors possibly do consider voting for an alternative candidate, I seriously doubt Bernie would turn down offer if they voted for him instead of Trump. Thank you!
