The Freelance Star is deliberately shutting down any support for a river crossing or the Inner Connector and Trail network in their articles.

I spoke at this hearing Stating that I represent over 4,600 people that support the Inner Connector and Trail Network, but none of my comments were reported in the article linked below.

In September 2021 the Stafford Planning Commission Unanimously Supported the Inner Connector and Trail Network by including it in the Stafford Comprehensive Plan, but not reported.

Over 4,600 people have signed a petition supporting the Inner Connector and Trail Network, but not reported.

In 2022 the FAMPO Citizen's Transportation Advisory Committee voted in support of a new River Crossing, but was not reported.

In September 2022 both Stafford and Fredericksburg Officials voted to include in the East to West Study an analysis of a river crossing.

In December 2022 Stafford Completed a Transportation Master Plan Survey that overwhelmingly supported a River Crossing at Celebrate Virginia. More comments supported a river crossing than any other project.

On January 29, 2023 the FAMPO Mobility Survey Ended, but we are still waiting for the results. The  Preliminary survey findings were stated at a FAMPO committee meeting. 664 responses to the survey were received as of January 9. In response to Question 3, 80% supported “the development of a new river crossing bridge west of I-95 between Central Park and southern Stafford.” 20% responded “No.”

This link is to the FAMPO public comments that were received in May 2022 and read aloud at the FAMPO Policy meeting. Out of 34 comments 29 People Supported the Fredericksburg Area Inner Connector and Trail Network while 2 opposed. Again the FLS failed to report the results.
