I am delighted to share with you all that the DMK Manifesto includes the welfare of Salt Pan workers. I feel extremely grateful for all your support. I want to extend my sincere thanks to every single person working in different sectors who signed and shared this petition in their networks. In Member of Parliament TKS Elangovan's response on my petition he says, "We are truly committed to the welfare of Salt Pan workers. In the DMK Manifesto, we have clearly committed that the DMK will strive for devising a scheme to save salt producers from the circumstances in which they are affected by seawater rise and tend to lose their means of livelihood. The scheme will ensure adequate protection to them." He even went on to say that the DMK DMK will urge the Centre to change this situation by creating a Commission for the welfare of saltern workers and protect them.
