Eksi Sozluk is a collaborative hypertext 'dictionary' based on the concept of Web sites built up on user contribution. However Eksi Sozluk is not a dictionary in the strict sense; users are not required to write correct information. It is currently one of the biggest online communities in Turkey with over 400,000 registered users. The number of writers is about 54,000. As an online public sphere, Eksi Sozluk is not only utilized by thousands for information sharing on various topics ranging from scientific subjects to everyday life issues, but also used as a virtual socio-political community to communicate disputed political contents and to share personal views. [Wikipedia]

As very well introduced in Wikipedia, Eksi Sozluk is one of the top visited websites in Turkey (no.9 according to alexa).

A very recent incident happen to my friend showed that they delete every single post created by its users when a user is removed from the website for a reason. They delete anything even if it's not related with the the so called problem they identified.

Knowing that Turkey is a country asking content to be removed from Twitter and have journalist in the prison should be more sensitive and be a website supports freedom of speech. Yet today, they delete content without a valid justification.
