EJ Martinez is an historic neighborhood school  in Santa Fe - a real treasure! Parents, Teachers, Staff and Students love EJ's community feel and amazing programs like Frog Jelly, our multicultural fair, and our Halloween Carnival!

We know that our school district has a major budget deficit but deciding to close a school 6 weeks before the end of the year is not only rash but impossible. 500+ kids will be spread far and wide, teachers will lose their jobs and the community that is so strong at EJ will disappear forever. Not only that, but interzone transfers across the district will not be able to honored which will displace hundreds more kids.

We urge the District and the School Board to come up with another option that does not disproportionally affect the amazing staff and students at EJ.  We also ask that we be given the opportunity to be HEARD!
