There have been some negative comments left by people who obviously have their own agendas but I just wanted to make things perfectly clear that I started this petition purely as a result of comments from friends in the UK , and elsewhere, saying that they would love to return to Luxor but find it extremely difficult due to there not being regular direct flights from the region in which they live, mainly in the North of the UK , Scotland or Ireland. I also wanted to prove a point to the Ambassador and Consul of the British Embassy who are fighting 'tooth and nail' to get flights back to Sharm whilst saying that there is no demand for flights to Luxor. I would also like to state that I DO NOT have any vested interest in regular,direct flights, I DO NOT have a business that caters to tourists nor any other business but I DO have a great many EGYPTIAN friends whose lives have been devastated by the reduced numbers of tourists and who are struggling every minute of every day to try and find the means to support their families.Regular, direct flights would make a MASSIVE difference to them and their families.
