A very kind person posted this notice on our Facebook post. 

All parents need to consider attending the board meeting Thursday. The district is seeking approval to spend $37,500 to purchase a property that is currently listed for sale at $19,900. The property is condemned currently and while the intended use isn’t listed, the location makes it very UNLIKELY that students would benefit from it. If we have money to purchase condemned properties, we should certainly have money for our students safety.

Unfortunately, I cannot attend. If any of you are available, I highly encourage. My goal is to be ready for the next. Unbelievable the money being spent (and for what?) We need to spend on what’s most important and that’s the safety of our children and teachers.

Tonight, I will work at setting up a page for those who want to form a committee. We can use to it communicate, bounce ideas, etc. I’ll send the link out once complete.
