Am I worthy?

I want to first of all thank everybody for coming out tonight. Ill start off with a question, and the question is am I worthy? That the precipice of everything that I want to talk about tonight. Am I worthy? If I am worthy, then so be it, I should find your support. If I am worthy, so be it, I should find your financial contributions. If I am worthy, then I should do the will of the community.

Back in the day, in 1911, which might be a significant date to some of you all, right? We used to work on the farm and they would have the chosen one that they would send off to college to do the work of the family, right, to be the name sake. So, they would send their one child off to college to get the education, to come back and contribute to the community.

I understand right now that everybody does not have aspirations to be on the school board. I understand right now that everybody doesn’t have the time or the commitment to be on the school board. So, I am asking, am I worthy to stand in the gap for everybody, to go and get that information and bring it back to the community, so that our community can thrive better?

You may not live in Alief. You may have never lived in Alief, but I promise you the children that are educated in Alief come to your community. The children that are not educate in Alief, for lack of better words, come to your community. So, the reason why you should give to my campaign contribution is because I am doing it for the community. I am not a politician; I am a humanitarian. Let me say that again. I am not a politician, I am a humanitarian, and with that come responsibilities to the community. So, I don’t have an oath to the school district. I don’t have an oath to the superintendent. I have a duty and a due diligence to our people, to our community, to your grandkids, to your grandkid’s children, to your friends and family members, to the individuals.

There is an Alief graduate that is working behind the bar tonight. You never know when you are gong to be impacted by somebody that has been educated in our community, and so with that I take on the responsibility of running for Alief ISD School Board Trustee Position #7 and making sure that our communities voice is being heard. It’s a new voice, new direction.
