Just admit that you don’t care about our community

This is why leadership matters. Multiple community members have asked the school board several times to live broadcast school board meetings for community members who are not able to attend board meetings because they work multiple jobs, may not have childcare, or other reasons. Each request by the community to live stream board meetings, Alief leadership responded NO through their words and/or actions.

Yet today, Friday, March 13, 2020, the school district is shut down because of concerns of the Corona Virus yet School Board President Ann Williams, Superintendent Henry “HD” Chambers, Director of Public Relations Kimberly Smith, and whomever is operating the camera are at the Alief Carrier Center live streaming a podcast to the same Alief community members whom they REFUSE to live stream school board meetings to/for.

By the districts own account the videos that they record for board meetings receive LESS THAN 30 views per board meeting video, yet this Facebook live broadcast has received 1,400 views and counting, with 8,922 Facebook follower on Alief ISD’s Facebook page.
