Dear Henry D. Chambers Jr. and Elizabeth Veloz-Powell your continued use for every bad business practice which the two of you willfully uphold in OUR district with, “that is just the way Alief has done it for years, that is just the way that Alief has done it as long as I can remember, that is just the way that Alief has done it as long as I have been with the district,” is NOT acceptable. I am certain that those statements are NOT the logic which you use when managing affairs in your own homes, so why do you find it acceptable to employ that nonsense and logic when managing the affairs affecting the homes of OUR 46,000 plus students in Alief? Wining and dining teachers to come from Nebraska to Houston is not acceptable when we have thousands of teachers right here in Houston willing and qualified to do the same jobs and they DO NOT require a relocation package, which is funded by our TAX MONEY. We need to focus on supporting our own and let NEBRASKA focus on their communities. The two of you can fly out to Nebraska and offer them your administrative services in their school districts so that Alief could clear up some of our 3 million dollar deficit. Alief would save $400,000 a year just with Henry D. Chamber’s salary alone; two one-way tickets to Nebraska please! Also, Alief needs to start letting the public interact at the board meetings too, instead of forcing the community to sit there and just listen to the orchestrated foolishness and rubber stamped agendas for hours. Yall talk about HISD but at least they got the community participation part right! NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION.
