A great step towards reconciling indigenous‐settler relations in Edmonton could be to look to the present and the future, rather than just to the past, by recognizing opportunities for indigenous heritage, character and potential. We can do this with our new "Accidental Beach" by giving it an Indigenous name! 

If Edmonton ends up keeping, maintaining and investing in the Accidental Beach, let's create space for Edmonton's Indigenous community to name it in accordance with local ceremony & protocol.
