Good Morning Fellow Residents, Commuters and Petition Supporters
I just wanted to provide an update regarding a formal meeting that I had with Shadow Minister for Transport Chris Minns MP in mid-May prior to the Upper Hunter By election at NSW Parliament House
Chris Minns MP is the member for Kogarah and was Shadow Minister for Transport up until a week or so ago.
I was fortunate enough to secure a meeting with Mr Minns in order to discuss a number of transport related issues which included the extension of the South West rail link from Leppington Station to Western Sydney Airport
Other issues included the widening of Hoxton Park Road and the extension of Fifteenth Ave Extension to the new Western Sydney Airport.
This was a preliminary meeting prior to a residents rally to be organised and held in the future.
It was important that Chris Minns MP became more aware of the transport related issues in our area as the former transport minister and that could work well as it looks like he might become the next opposition leader, based on recent media reports.
During May, the work continued on the construction of the new multi-storey car parks which included:
• Completion of concrete columns, stairs and lift overruns
• Removal of a tower crane
• Preparation for roofing works
• Façade panel installation
• Installation of structural steel
• Services fit-off
• Glazing and lift installation
• Stormwater works completion
• Further fit-out trades will commence on site
PAPER PETITION UPDATE - Unfortunately I have been unable to gather further signatures myself at this time
YOUR Help and assistance is still required to keep the call to Extend the Southwest rail Link from Leppington to the new Western Sydney Airport is required.
