Good morning Fellow Residents, Commuters and Petition Supporters
There will be a Community Forum to be Held on Saturday the 15th September by NSW PLANNING DEPT from 10am to 1pm at Bringelly Community Hall about the Aerotropolis and other developments in the area (Please Consider attending).
I attended the one held last Thursday on the 6th September from 4 to 7pm put on by the NSW Planning with various Government departments present.
I spoke to 2 people from Transport for NSW the first person knew about the Car Parking Crisis issue but didn't have any specific information on what was happening about it.
The second person I spoke to was a Strategic Planner with Transport for NSW and advised that NOTHING has been done regarding the commencement of Investigations since they were announced as part of the Budget a couple of months ago (I think that pretty well confirms my theory the $550K "Investigation" is a tax payer funded smokescreen to put the Car Parking Crisis issue on the backburner in the lead up to the NSW State Election to be held in March 2019).
In order to commence the Investigation a Briefing Document needs to be prepared to establish the scope of what needs to be investigated.
NO WORK HAS BEEN DONE TO PREPARE A BRIEF OR A SCOPING DOCUMENT FOR
THE INVESTIGATION into the Car Parking Crisis at Edmondson Park or Leppington Stations.
I have sent an email to the Minister asking questions regarding what is happening in relation to the Car Parking Crisis. (I will advise you on this further in the next Update).
LEPPINGTON STATION USERS - A WARNING
This afternoon I spoke to a Highway Patrol Officer who was on the Corner of Rickard and Byron Roads, he wasn't there about the Car Parking.
After my conversation with him I can advise that You WILL BE BOOKED if you break the law.
PLEASE Don't do illegal U turns on Rickard Road in front of the Station and Don't do illegal right turns from Rickard Road into Byron Rd.
I understand that sometimes you might be in a hurry but it's dangerous and it's breaking the law and you will be booked.
The Car Parking Crisis Campaign Continues and I have started handing out flyers again (Any help would be appreciated). As a result the petition numbers have started to grow again with an increase of 350 signatures in the last couple of days - LET'S HIT 10,000.
