This Person Thinks The Revised Edinburgh Council Cemetery Rules At Morningside Cemetery Don't Apply To Them...
They do.

This person has put themselves in a public place, where there are no legal restrictions on photography, is clearly exercising a dog, and is clearly in flagrant breach of Edinburgh Council's current revised Cemetery Management Rules in Morningside Cemetery, which include the text:
STOP - Do you plan to exercise your dog in this cemetery?
Please read the below signage and remember - short leads only
Those needing fully exercised should be taken to an appropriate green space such as Morningside Park, Craiglockhart Hill, or Braidburn Valley Park
Dogs on long leads such as the one above are being exercised. Simple as that. Morningside Park is literally next door, 30 seconds walk away.
This image will be included in our Deputation to Edinburgh Council's Culture & Communities Committee on 8th August, along with the many, many more we have (a lot from the past three months when the new signage has been up).
Images such as these really sum up why it is time Edinburgh Council gets tough with this section of selfish, irresponsible, entitled dog owners. It is not the dogs causing this issue - it is these dog owners using Edinburgh cemeteries as convenient, local walled in dog exercise yards.
If you want to see a stop to this and send as strong a message as possible to Edinburgh Council before our meeting in 36 days time:
1: Please continue to share this Change petition on social media and amongst friends & family. We can never have too many signatures, and whilst the gap to the counter petition is still healthy, they have closed that gap in the past week.
2: Contribute a £ or two to this Change petition, to increase visibility & awareness.

The figures are still very much in our favour in this vote, however again, the gap has decreased a little in the past few days.
