More misinformation and innuendo from the counter petition today:
"With this in mind we wonder why the other petition is still going and what they are actually doing and asking for. Are their supporters especially their donators aware of this information? Are people donating to a petition which in effect appears to have ended? Are they going to try and reform the way public matters are decided by publically (sic) elected officials using legislated procedure to get their request fufilled? (sic) If so does this possibly undermine not only the public and publicly elected officials but also in effect rules - a process which they appear to advocate against?"

- Our petition has been live for approximately two weeks.
- Our petition has not "ended"...in fact, it is going from strength to strength (see stats of signatories graph above, figures as of 4pm today)
- Donors can see exactly what their donations are doing on the petition page.
- In the first few days of our petition going live, we emailed various Councillors (including all four in the ward of Morningside), MSP's, and MPS. We have the emails to prove this.
- We have had very supportive replies from several, including one MSP who is facilitating a meeting for us, as we speak. There are other developments' in the background.
- Only elected officials have the power to change rules & guidance, or introduce new laws. All we can do is present our case, which we are in the process of doing. We do not "advocate against this"
As soon as we have something concrete to tell our supporters, it will be posted here in the updates.
