Save the Meadows Festival Edinburgh from Council Licensing Fees

The Meadows Festival which is a volunteer-run community event is faced with an unaffordable increased market license fee for the west side of the Meadows on which the festival has taken place on for the last 45 years. The Meadows Festival Committee has decided that they can't afford the increase in fee of around £5000. The council has advised that the organisers relocate the festival to the east side of the park where the fee is less. The MFA committee, however, feels they can't just relocate the festival or pay the increased fee that applies to the west side of the Meadows.
