Let's keep the pressure up!

What a night! It was a great turn-out at the public meeting, and a great demonstration of a community pulling together! We've made some modest progress... last night the airport chief executive Gordon Dewar confirmed the trial WILL STOP EARLY! It's a great step forward and one victory for our community but it's not not the end of the battle. The trial is still running until the end of October, and from all that was said last night I think it's likely the trial will result in some kind of permanent proposal. We have to keep the pressure up if we want to stop or change the proposals for good! Last night many spoke of the impact the noise is having on the most vulnerable in our community. We have to speak out with and for them too. Please keep writing and calling the airport to describe the noise and how it is affecting you.
