so after some reasonable amount of complaints and explanations, we've realised that the maths papers for a level paper 2 were given out different, to both modified and those who don't need modified papers. Whilst yes I do respect those who need the requirement of modified papers, we'd like to raise the issue on the papers being different. 1) it hasn't been done earlier before or neither was it warned, so why now? They could have been provided extra time, as that time would help them to finish the paper better, in their own requirements, but giving a different paper is not fair, almost some positive discrimination being set here, as many students have said the topics shown in the modified papers were the larger, more expected and reoccurring topics, not that they are more easier, but more easier to face. 2) whilst yes the exam board can make two different grade boundaries, it should be questioned why this had to be done, and those grade boundaries would not be accurate, because arguably all students, whether needing a modified paper or not, received the same amount of education and learning and so should be faced with the same papers, not different.

I do respect those who do need modified papers, and assume edexcel’s won’t effect you in any bad way, but overall, this suggestion whether of separate grade boundaries, even though as I gave a reasonable explanation at the end, still shows it is unfair.
the students can cooperate with edexcel, when they can cooperate with us, so we can all des with this situation and be at ease.
