Newby landfill and the director of San Jose planning committee told Milpitas residents that if the landfill closed, our garbage bill will increase substantially. Really? Please check the rate and you can figure out if there is any relation between the distance to the dump and the garbage collection fees. It is clear that the answer is no. If so, why should city of Milpitas use Republic Services Inc as our garbage collector? Dear Bay Area residents who are using republic services inc as your garbage collector, did you see the collection fee that Republic Services Inc charges you is higher than other garbage companies? Don't you think it is the time to change your garbage collector? Please ask your city to terminate the contract with this immoral company.
