What a week and it is all thanks to you all for signing and sharing the petition! We are finally getting the government to listen!
Following the amazing news that Wera Hobhouse has put forward an Early Days Motion for the campaign we were approached by BBC Points West. The campaign was talked about on BBC Radio Bristol, shown on repeat on Tuesday on BBC Points West and then an extended interview with myself on BBC Points West in the evening!
It was brilliant to have the opportunity to share the campaign with others. The campaign has also had support from a lovely lady, Imogen. Imogen speaks very openly about what it is like to live with bulimia. And her frustration and heartache over the fact she hasn't yet been able to get treatment. She has been desperate for it, she wants to recover but because of the lack of services and the lack of understanding about eating disorders being a mental illness and not a physical one she is not able to access it. I encourage you to head over to my Facebook page where you will be able to see her story https://www.facebook.com/Hopevirgoauthor/
A huge thank you for your continual support! It is amazing! We are still a way off 100,000 and we need to HIT this so that we can keep applying pressure! Nigel Adams, MP, seemed to think the government had already cracked this which couldn't be further from the truth so please please please do keep sharing the petition! Shout about it and let's come together to make this change happen!
