On March 31, Washington City Paper published the article "Is D.C. Getting a Joe Biden Pop-Up from the Creators of Christmas Bar?" describing plans by local restaurant and bar group Drink Company (creators of the Miracle on 7th Street and Cherry Blossom pop-up bars) to launch a Joe Biden-themed pop-up bar in the Shaw neighborhood of Washington, DC. The article outlined an elaborate plan to transform oyster bar Eat the Rich into a tribute to all things Biden—inspired by everything from ice cream to Amtrak—starting April 18. 

The article, cruelly, ended thus: "On whether or not Biden himself will make an appearance at the bar this spring, Brown and Fetherston aren't optimistic. Why's that? Because APRIL #FakeBars FOOLS. (Observed)."

It doesn't have to end like this. Our city has suffered enough emotional abuse in the past few months, and we need a reason to hope again. Sign this petition to urge Drink Company to launch a Joe Biden-themed pop-up bar as soon as possible. They already have a menu and decorating scheme, and they will assuredly have customers given Joe Biden's rabid fan base in our nation's capital (and around the world). Now they just need to make it a reality. #WeWantABidenBar
