Indian Run Falls Park is arguably the most beautiful natural area in Dublin, Ohio.
Recent presentations to Dublin city council and the public show that TWO NEW ROADS are projected to cross the North and South Forks of the Indian Run. In fact, it appears that the planned Rock Cress Parkway will cut directly through the middle of Indian Run Falls park limiting the park’s appeal to walkers and runners.
Cross-town roads spanning the park will irreparably damage it. Following the construction itself, road salt and all sorts of other road debris will accumulate in the ravine. Smaller stuff will eventually wash into the Scioto River.
We view the Indian Run Falls area as an important part of our natural heritage and worth preserving. As the city of Dublin prides itself on its environmental stewardship, we here are asking them to protect this most precious natural resource.
No one would build a road across the middle of the Grand Canyon just because it is the shortest distance between two points. This is OUR 'Grand Canyon'. Don't allow Rock Cress Parkway to destroy it. Please route traffic AROUND not through Indian Run Falls Park. Keep a generous natural buffer around the falls and ravine area.
PLEASE SAVE THE FALLS.
