Thank you for supporting my petition. I am overwhelmed and grateful. There are 63 million deaf citizens in India who do not have access to our Helplines, like 100 and 1098. It is high time we do our bit. Keep sharing this petition with all your friends and family members so that the authorities hear us.
I have a few interesting updates to share with you!

Our petition got covered in Patrika, a newspaper in MP, on Sunday, Nov 6, 2022.

After our direct conversation with Minister Smt Smriti Irani ji at the Yi Path Breakers summit, we had emailed her on Oct 18, 2022, requesting her to implement a video-calling facility/VRS with sign language interpreters on emergency helplines.
I am elated to share with you all that we have heard back from her office and they have forwarded the matter to the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.

I once again urge you to keep sharing this petition for the thousands of fellow citizens who are waiting to be heard. It will just take 30 seconds. But it will go a long way in insuring everyone has access to these important Helplines.
