On July 23, 2022, almost a year ago, a well-known anti-abortion provocateur was ranting against Rise Up 4 Abortion Rights Supporters holding signs in Waikiki.  Saber, a tourist from SFO was going to the beach with her partner when they saw the confrontation.  Saber, a videographer, stopped to video his rant and oppose his lies.  The provocateur, James Wallace, then filed charges of assault against Saber, ridiculously claiming that he "feared for his life."  After the State repeatedly delayed Saber's trial dates, she finally returned to Honolulu for trial in February.  After continuous delays during the first two days, the Complainant finally took the stand, along with two witnesses before the trial was again delayed -- until June 14 of this week!  (For more details see the original petition and updates.)

Saber's trial continues this Wednesday at 8:30pm at the Alakea Courthouse.  We're calling on supporters to attend as they can and we anticipate having a short rally to demand that the charges be dropped at noon in front of the Courthouse.  Whether or not you can join Saber at the trial, we urge you to be there at noon.
