I found this beautiful quote today on solitude. I hope for everyone who is isolated by health issues or other circumstances, including Luigi, can find solace from it. It has helped me to see this time alone, dealing with my chronic illness & botched surgery, as a time to connect with myself & try not to feel lonely or abandoned in the system. It’s very challenging at times with the way our healthcare & insurance treats people.

I have my own long, awful health insurance nightmare story with UHC, like so many of you in the comments. From what I read about Luigi’s story, there are many parallels & points of connection. In all this pain and exposure of corruption, at least we can find solidarity & purpose to fight for healthcare reform.

I appreciate all of you showing your solidarity and compassion through the petition! Hopefully Luigi & his team will learn about it & gain strength to keep going into the new year.
