DreamWorks, Cancel The Boss Baby: Back in Business

The Issue

For those who don't know what this show is, The Boss Baby: Back in Business is a Netflix show that ignores the events of the 2017 animated movie The Boss Baby. But this show is awful!

This is why the show sucks:

1. The humor is mostly offensive, insulting, horrible, nasty, and forced, toilet humor is also very common.

2. Terrible CGI animation. The 2D animation that only appears in Tim's imagination is just as terrible. This is unacceptable since there have been other good DreamWorks shows on Netflix before this (All Hail King Julien, Trollhunters, and the newer seasons of Dragons) that had far superior CGI animation.

3. There are some plot holes in the show, such as these:

  • The show is supposed to take place sometime AFTER the events of the film. However, at the end of the film, the Boss Baby becomes a normal baby, but in the show, he is still working at Baby Corp.
  • The mom and dad don't refer the Boss Baby as "Theodore Lindsey Templeton", which was his given name at the end of the movie.

4. A few characters from the movie have been butchered badly:

  • Staci was changed from a sweet little girl to a horrible brat who even made babies lose at some contest in one of the episodes.
  • Jimbo is an annoying idiot who's trademark is his love for kittens.
  • The Triplets are completely useless as they mostly do nothing but stay at Baby Corp.

5. Boss Baby's boss, Big Boss Baby (from the movie), doesn't appear in the show and is replaced with the Mega Fat CEO Baby.

6. Speaking of Mega Fat CEO Baby, he's the worst character in the show, a complete moron who annoys Boss Baby and wants him to get fired. His terrible voice combined with his jerk persona only made him even more irritable.

7. The characters' voices are very annoying, unlike in the movie.

8. False advertising: This show is said to be a follow-up to the first film, but in reality, it's more of a spin-off than a follow-up and it barely has any continuity from the film (see reason 3). Thus, some feel that this is more of clear alternative continuity from the film itself.

9. There are weirdly several political jokes in series, like in one episode when Tim suggested helping Scooter out, Staci mocks him as liberal just because he wants to help Scooter in a simple way. And since what these babies care or even know American politics anyway?

10. In one episode, Boss Baby says "It's like negotiating with North Korea!" This is offensive to North Korea, especially since Trump and Kim Jong-un MADE A PEACE TREATY IN 2018!!!

11. It gives Netflix a bad name, along with The Magic School Bus Rides Again, Big Mouth, Bill Nye Saves the World, VeggieTales in the House, and ReBoot: The Guardian Code.

This show is terrible! DreamWorks Animation and Netflix, please cancel this show, remove it from canon, and terminate it from Netflix forever! We can't let children suffer from its stupidity and toilet humor! Just look at Nickelodeon: some of their shows are bad because of their toilet humor. Please, end The Boss Baby: Back in Business now, Netflix and DreamWorks Animation!

To quote Princess Leia in Star Wars, "Please, (insert name here), you are our only hope."

Sign this petition if you want the show to be gone forever and removed from canon, as well as being permanently forgotten.
