Prairie View students were sent a memo on February 15, 2019 explaining that future housing accommodations will not be readily available for future juniors and seniors. This places students at a disadvantage by denying them access to safe and reliable on-campus housing, and neglects students who currently attend Prairie View A&M University. This decision to displace uppersclassmen students was not voiced to the students until after the decision was made by Dr. Timothy Sams, who did not start working at Prairie View until August 2019. This petition is to voice the concerns of the students that this decision is directly affecting, and to bring action to the decision made about current and future housing arrangements.
